CHLAMYDIAL INFECTION, INFLAMMATORY AND DYSPLASTIC PROCESSES OF THE ORAL CAVITY

The aim of the study was to determine the frequency of the combination of oral diseases inflammatory and neoplastic (leukoplakia, cancer) genesis with chlamydial infection of the urogenital tract. Identification of the causative agent of chlamydia in the material from the oral and genital tract 226 patients (118 women and 108 muzhchin) aged 38–70 years was performed by ELISA and PCR. The results obtained demonstrate that oral cavity chlamydiosis may be considered as a marker of urogenital chlamydial infections and the need for vigilance against chlamydial infection in cases of inflammatory processes and dysplastic oral cavity. The conclusion about the possible role of chlamydial infection as a promoter in the development of dysplastic processes and the need for a comprehensive approach to treatment.
