THE USE OF IMMUNOBIOLOGICAL DRUG «KIPFERON» IN TREATMENT OF CHILDREN WITH SEROUS LYMPHADENITIS OF FACE AND NECK

An integrated study of 35 children with acute serous lymphadenitis was conducted. The evaluation of hematological indices, immune status and the level of procalcitonin was included into the complex patient examination. Proceeding from the etiology of the disease, 18 children were treated with the use of antibiotics and 17 patients with the use of the drug “Kipferon”, acting as an immunomodulator. The study have shown that  viral infection was the reason of serous lymphadenitis in 37.1 % of children. Increased  LMRI and decreased NLymRI hematological indexes indicate viral etiology of lymphadenitis due to increased number of lymphocytes, which are the markers of the viral diseases. The level of procalcitonin  helps to differentiate the etiology (viral or bacterial) of the disease. The study revealed, that children with serous lymphadenitis of face and neck have reduced genetic antiviral immunity and activated adaptive antiviral immunity. The drug “Kipferon” is helpful to relief inflammatory process without the use of antibiotics.
