The clinical effectiveness of application of 10% eucalyptus gel immobilized on polysorb is studied at treatment of chronic generalized catarrhal gingivitis and chronic generalized parodontitis of moderate degree. 10% polysorb gel, 5% solution of eucalyptus extract and 0,05% solution of chlorhexidine bigluconate were used as comparison preparations. The effectiveness criterion was the number of procedures necessary for inflammatory process controlling, as well as the values of parodontal indices (PMA, PI, СРITN, HI) before and immediately after the treatment. It was determined that 10% eucalyptus gel immobilized on polysorb has expressed anti-inflammatory effect which considerably exceeded the effect of the comparison preparations.
