TREATMENT OF PATIENTS CHRONIC OSTEOMYELITIS OF THE SPINE WITH THE USE OF REFERENCE LATTICED IMPLANT WITH ANTIBACTERIAL BONE CEMENT

Estimation of possibilities of application of reference of the implant with antibacterial bone cement in the treatment of patients with chronic hematogenous osteomyelitis of the spine. We studied the results of treatment of 41 patients with chronic hematogenous osteomyelitis of the spine. The patients were divided into 2 groups: implementation sanative and reconstructive operations in a traditional way (group I), the implementation of sanative and reconstructive operations with additional installation reference latticed implant in combination with antibacterial bone cement (group II). The results of the treatment was assessed by the dynamics of the local kyphotic deformation, the nature of the complications and objectification of the pain syndrome. Readjustment of the nidus of inflammation in the form of a cavity, made reference implant with antibacterial cement leads to a decrease in necrosis and exudative reactions in the hearth of chronic osteomyelitis in t period of two to four months, which allows to fix the proliferative and regenerative processes in tissues of the vertebra and contributes to the prevention of relapses and complications.
