ENDOVIDEOSURGICAL LIGATION OF HAEMORRHAGES FROM GASTRODUODENAL ULCERS

In order to address the shortcomings of the traditional (gastroduodenotomical) methods of stopping bleeding ulcers and their related complications, the authors have developed an endovideosurgical method of ligation of bleeding ulcers of the stomach and duodenum with endoscopic assistance. The experience has been presented in the treatment of 493 patients with gastroduodenal ulcer bleeding in the Municipal Emergency Hospital of Rostov-on-Don. 27 patients were operated using the original method. The control group included 52 patients, who underwent laparotomy, gastroduodenotomy and sew bleeding ulcers, excision ulcers or resection gastrum, in order to stop the gastroduodenal bleeding. The results obtained authors suggest a high efficiency of the method, its application as a way to stop gastrointestinal bleeding from ulcers, located on front wall gastrum or duodenum, in specialized emergency surgical hospitals.
