CURRENT TRENDS OF PEDIATRIC MORBIDITY WITH SPECIAL EMPHASIS ON PATIENTS WITH PROTRACTED AND FREQUENT MORBID EPISODES

One of the priority tasks of preventive medicine is the preservation and strengthening of health of children of preschool age. The aim of the research was to establish the level and structure of morbidity of the children’s population with the purpose of development of health-improving activities. Analysis of morbidity of children’s population according to the official statistics for 2006–2010 testifies to the continuing deterioration in the health of children. In the analysis of morbidity of children on gender grounds of significant differences have not been identified. In the investigated groups of children the pattern of disease is represented by one and the same classes of diseases, with only different rank level. The maximum number of frequently ill children are in the age group of 6 to 7 years. The results of the study allowed us to develop recreational activities for the long-term, and frequently ill children of preschool age in the conditions attached polyclinics. Based on the above, it can be argued that the problems of the health status of long-term, and frequently ill children in modern conditions are valid, and served as a basis for this study.
