COMPARATIV EFFICACY OF DESTRUCTIV CHRONIC APICAL PERIODONTITIS TREATMENT WITH CALCIUM-CONTAINING MEDICATIONS

The aim of this study is to compare the efficacy of the treatment of destructive chronic apical periodontitis with different calcium-containing medications for the temporary filling: containing calcium hydroxide and calcium oxide. All patients underwent dynamic clinical, radiological examination and immunological research of the crevicular fluid. The comparative analysis of destructive forms of chronic apical periodontitis treatment on the base of clinical and immunological parameters, shows that the therapy with a temporary filling material, based on calcium hydroxide showed the highest efficiency compared with the temporary filling with the calcium oxide medications and the traditional method of treatment without temporary filling of root canals.
