ASSESSMENT OF NEURO-MENTAL INSTABILITY IN MILITARY SERVICEMEN

The article presents a comparative evaluation of physical development and typical properties of military servicemen. Object of research – military personnel of aged 18–22 years. Used in this work personal questionnaire «NPsI-A» (neuro-psychological instability – accentuation) developed by K. N. Polyakov, A. N. Glushko and designed to identify the neuro-psychological instability and some accentuation of character. Revealed that in military personnel in the military service was a high level of nervous and psychological instability (NPsI), which shows a significant expression of the corresponding feature. The highest level was observed at the initial stage of military service. In the dynamics of military service showed statistically significant reduction in neuro-psychological instability. At the end of military service, there was a small increase in the average values ​​that corresponded to the level of expression of this great feature. The urban servicemen are worse adaptable to the conditions of military service than rural soldiers. The correlation analysis of the relationship of nervous and mental instability and its individual parameters of age showed a low negative relationship.
