MAIN DIRECTIONS AND RESULTS OF ACTIVITY OF X-RAY SERVICE OF THE CHILDREN’S VERSATILE HOSPITAL

For the purpose of an assessment of the main directions and results of work of radiological service of St. Peterburg State Pediatric Medical University versatile hospital the copying of data from reports of clinical hospital and x-ray office, and also from primary medical documentation on 416 children was carried out. For value judgment of the organization and quality of work of x-ray office anonymous questioning of parents of the same statistical set of children from documentation whom the copying of data was carried out was analised. As a result of the conducted research it was established that total load of radiological service annually increases, both at the expense of increase in absolute number of inpatients, and at the expense of growth of number of out-patient radiological researches. The most part of patients of x-ray department patients with diseases of respiratory organs and suspicions on them (28,5 %), with congenital anomalies (15,8 %), trauma (15,6 %). The conducted researches showed good medical efficiency that is confirmed by the high specific weight of the revealed pathology, and also productivity of examination of children: in 48,1% of cases they allowed to specify the diagnosis, in 39,7 % − to confirm, and in 12,2% − to change the diagnosis. The most part of parents (68,1 %) considers that radiological examination positively affected results of treatment.
