CLINICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF PATIENTS (KURGAN RESIDENTS) WITH UTERINE FIBROIDS

A retrospective analysis of clinical and anamnestic data collected from 139 patients from 27 to 62 years old with uterine fibroids observed in the Kurgan city hospital №2 during the period of 2007-2009 is implemented in the following study. The control group was represented by the number of women without uterine fibroids who had baseline medical examination during the same period of time. The study showed that the pathogenesis of uterine fibroids is significantly associated with abnormalities in the period of the menstrual function, and clinical picture is burdened by pre-existing and the existing pathology. For the studied population, the leading risk factors for uterine fibroids are: menstrual dysfunction (the risk of uterine fibroids is increased by 14 times), the presence of previous gynecologic pathology (increases the risk by 5 times) and abortion (by 2 times).
