PHARMACOECONOMIC ASPECTS OF THE USE OF ANTIDEPRESSANTS IN POSTABSTINENT PERIOD OPIOID DEPENDENCE

Conduct individualized, effective, safe and cost-effective drug therapy is a key goal of clinical pharmacology. Differences in the effectiveness of antidepressants, found in a clinical trial, are usually small or difficult to prove. The use of antidepressants is pathogenetically justified and necessary component of the treatment of opioid dependence. The economic aspect is one of the most important components of the quality management system of medical care. The aim of this study was to compare efficacy, safety and feasibility of antidepressants with different mechanisms of action: duloxetin, pipofezin, escitalopram and tianeptin. Clinical efficacy and safety study of antidepressants used for the correction of depression in patients with opioid dependence in postabstinent period, is comparable, and the major criteria for selection were the pharmacoeconomic benefits.
