THE INFLUENCE OF MAGNESIUM SULFATE ON ARRHYTHMIA DYNAMICS IN THE SHARP PERIOD OF AN ISCHEMIC STROKE

48 patients with an arterial hypertensia and an ischemic stroke at the age from 40 till 80 years were surveyed. The influence of magnesium sulfate on ventricular and supraventricular arrhythmias in the sharp period of an ischemic stroke was analyzed in the study . Group 1 (n=15) received only base therapy, group 2 (n=33) received in addition to the base therapy 10 ml of 25 % magnesium sulfate on 200 ml of normal saline № 10 intravenously by drop infusion.It was revealed that additional use of magnesium sulfate as a part of the base therapy of an ischemic stroke reduces the quantity of supraventricular arrhythmias, the quantity and duration of supraventricular tachycardia episodes and does not influence the quantity of ventricular arrhythmias. In the process of the correlation analysis the relation of cardiac arrhythmia with the magnesium level of blood serum is not revealed.
