Nowadays an individual choice of personal hygiene instruments depending on hygienic and dental personal state is of a great importance. The following study examines the cleaning effectiveness of various toothbrush types amongst patients with dental implants. The totals of 145 patients were divided into five groups and used different toothbrush types in each group. Several indexes were used in the research process (the Approximal Plaque-Index (API), the Turesky Index (PI), Silness Loe Plaque Index (Silness- Loe (PLIск) in order to assess the oral hygiene levels before the experiment and 30 days after using the toothbrushes. An ultrasonic toothbrush provided the best and most effective result amongst patients with dental implants. Nonetheless, an Ultrasonic toothbrush is a safer option and has proved to be more effective in the removal of plaque and dental stains. Its purifying efficiency has reached a level of 31.6%. As a result, the usage of an Ultrasonic toothbrush proved considerably enhancing the quality of the personal hygiene and is, therefore, to be recommended for patients with dental implants.
