STRUCTURAL AND FUNCTIONAL STATE OF MYOCARDIUM AND PSYCHO-EMOTIONAL FEATURES IN PREMENOPAUSAL AND POSTMENOPAUSAL WOMEN

The purpose of the research is the study of the characteristics of structural and functional state of the myocardium, psycho-emotional features and their relatuioship in premenopausal and postmenopausal women. One hundred and sixty nine patients at the age of 37–65 years were examined. Patients were divided into five groups in accordance with stages of reproductive aging. Clinical examination and the study of psychological characteristics with a set of tests were performed. Patients used nonadaptive coping-strategies and had intrapersonal conflicts and high personal anxiety. The correlations of parameters of structural and functional state of the left ventricle myocardium with the level of anxiety, hysteria, alexithymia, propensity to displacement of anxiety and it somatization in premenopausal women and level of depression, psychasthenia, stress resistance, propensity to isolation, using nonadaptive coping strategies in emotional sphere and the expression of touchiness were found.
