EFFECT OF “NEPHROPHYT” ON THE ACTIVITY OF ENZYME OF ENDOGENOUS ANTIOXIDANT PROTECTION IN ISCHEMIA/REPERFUSION OF KIDNEY

The changes of the catalase (Cat) activity in the blood serum and the activity of super oxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione reductase (GR) in blood erythrocytes have been studied in the model of kidney bilateral ischemia. The influence of “Nephrophyt” on the activity of these enzymes in laboratory animals has been shown. The complex plant remedy “Nephrophyt” has demonstrated the marked positive effect on the activity of Cat, SOD, GR in experimental nephropathy. The properties of the medicinal remedy enabling to take part in the control over the activity of lipid peroxidation products were estimated in comparison with “Cytoflavin”, the preparation created on the base of mitochondrial substrata. The findings of the experiments allow us to consider that the effect of both preparations is unidirectional and the complex of the “Nephrophyt” properties, which have been revealed in previous studies, is a sufficient basis to recommend it for wide use in the therapy of the urine system diseases.
