The article deals with the problem of the relevance of the integration process of orphans with disabilities with modern life. Under the new legislation: the Law «On Education in the Russian Federation,» Presidential Decree «On the national strategy for children in the years 2013-2017» priority is to create conditions in educational institutions of equal opportunities for disabled children, orphans, children in a difficult life situation. Providing such conditions is through the humanization of the educational process as an important condition for the development of the child’s personality. On an example of the basic boarding school shows ways of working with children with variations in health status, creating comfortable conditions for them to obtain quality and affordable education, health care.
