PURULENT-SEPTIC POST-INJECTION DEFEATS OF THE LOWER LIMBS FROM PARENTERAL DRAG ADDICTION

With an increasing number of parenteral drug addicts increasing number of patients with purulent-septic complications postinjection. In view of this study appear relevant practice of treating such patients. Survey data and the results of treatment of 92 patients with purulent-septic lesions of the soft tissues of the lower extremities against parenteral drug abuse were analyzed. Localization pyonecrotic process was largely determined by the nature of vascular injury: main blood flow disorders, thrombosis, sclerotic damage to the superficial and deep veins, CVI. The severity of the patients was exacerbated by the presence of concomitant bloodborne infections. In the clinic established adapted classification of septic complications in patients with post-injection of parenteral drug addiction, which allows to optimize the choice of rational treatment strategies for these patients.
