PATHOPHYSIOLOGICAL AND CLINICAL ASPECTS OF MOVEMENT BIOMECHANICS OF ELDERLY PERSONS

This paper presents the results of research work on studying pathogenetic (biomechanical) and clinical changes in manner of walking among elderly patients with movement function abnormality syndrome. In elderly age movement function abnormality without any significant chronic pathology is not typical for people of the second health group. Stability disorder and walking changes depend on the present diseases of the musculoskeletal system and neuropsychic sphere, because in these cases movement function lowers up to a moderate degree while biomechanics of movement dysfunction depends on a particular medical entity. It is stated that when examining elderly patients and interpreting the results of this work it is reasonable to apply the idea that in elderly age movement function abnormality without any significant chronic pathology is not typical for people of the second health group and stability disorder and walking changes depend on the present diseases.
