IMPROVING OF PALLIATIVE CARE FOR INCURABLE PATIENTS WITH CANCER DISEASES

In the Russian Federation annually for the first time revealed about 12.7 million patients with various malignancies and 7.8 million died of it. In foreign countries, the need of palliative care is implemented by hospices, in Russia this problem is solved slowly. A very important aspect of the provision of cancer care for incurable patients is improving and strengthening the role of the «Hospice», which is the second most important medical unit, where they receive palliative care to patients with incurable forms of cancer pathology. The study has, jointly with the specialists of the oncological, social, medical and outpatient services medical organizations of Moscow develop the selection criteria for routing cancer patients. Introduction in practice of regional health developed the structural-functional model of the organization of palliative care allows to increase its efficiency and effectiveness, that directly affect the quality of care for incurable Oncology patients.
