HOW CAN WE ASSESS COGNITIVE FUNCTION BEFORE CESAREAN DELIVERY

Background and Goal of Study: Expectant mothers have cognitive reorganization that is resulted reproductive statement. There are huge numbers of neuropsychological tests use in clinical practice nowadays for cognitive functions assessment. It is a problem to make a chose some test for quick cognitive functions assessment to pregnants in anesthesiologists’ practice. The Goal: to study efficiency and operating descriptions of The Cognitive Failures Questionnaire (CFQ) at the cognitive dysfunctions assessment for obstetric patients. Materials and Methods: Having agreed with local ethics committee and obtained informed consent, 44 women are inspected in research were divided into 2 groups. I a group is 20 expectant mothers (at 37-41 weeks gestation), age 19-36 (mean age 27.74±6.38 y), II group - 22 unpregnant women of fertile age (20-42, mean age 25.89±4.31 y). Groups have not any statistically differences on age and the level of education of women. Criteria of exception were: ages less 18 and more than 45, term of gestation less 36 weeks, severe preeclampsia or eclampsia, decompensated extragenital pathology, diabetes mellitus, psychical diseases, abandonment of woman from participating in research on any of his stages. We used The Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) test, and The Cognitive Failures Questionnaire – CFQ for cognitive functions investigation. Results and Conclusions: The study showed The Cognitive Failures Questionnaire – CFQ can be an useful instrument for the estimation of cognitive functions before an caesarian section both urgent and elective. It possesses the high values of sensitiveness (60%%) and specificity (83,3%%). Using offer equalizations of regression it is possible to expect the point of МоСА for the choice of anesthetic technique or use it in further researches.
