This article presents modern data on the effectiveness of yoga in chronic lower back pain on the basis of domestic and foreign literature, which stresses the importance the problem of lower back pain, a variety of approaches to its treatment with a preference for an integrated, multidisciplinary approach, including the combined use of drugs, various methods of physiotherapy, reflexology, application of manual therapy, massage and physical therapy. Due to modern methods of research presented evidence for the effectiveness of yoga as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of patients with chronic pain in the lumbar spine: a significant decrease of pain and disability, no need to use additional drugs, reducing of disability time, reducing the manifestations of depression, improvement of live quality
