THE PREVALENCE AND INTENSITY OF DENTAL CARIES IN THE CHILD POPULATION OF THE CITY OF PENZA

The data dental epidemiological survey, which resulted in the prevalence and intensity of dental caries in children in the city of Penza in different age groups - 3, 6, 12, 15 years. Proved the dependence of the caries process of the children’s age and stage of formation of the bite, as well as oral hygiene. On a large clinical material proved the high intensity of caries process. There is a significant increase in this disease in the period from 3 to 6 years and its decline to twelve years of age, due to the physiological change of teeth and, therefore, except caries of deciduous teeth from observations. A significant increase in enamel demineralizationwas mark for fifteen years. The features of the hygienic condition of the oral cavity, depending on age and gender, was mark. The results are presented in tables and graphs. The analysis and conclusions are made.
