DEATH RATE FOR CHILDREN WITH EXTREMELY LOW BIRTH WEIGHT AND WAYS TO REDUCE THE CHUVASH REPUBLIC

The analysis of neonatal mortality and morbidity in neonates. It was revealed that the number of preterm in the Chuvash Republic is 5.1-5.4% of all births, 1% are children born with extremely low birth weight infants. 64% of preterm births occur at time of 34-36 weeks. Analysis of the incidence of preterm infants has shown that it is higher than the incidence of full-term newborns is 4.6 times. The most common causes of morbidity in preterm infants are respiratory disorders (561,6 ‰), intrauterine hypoxia and birth asphyxia (433,7 ‰), brain damage and intraventricular hemorrhage (417,3 ‰). Observed a clear decrease in neonatal mortality (3,4 ‰ in 2004 to 0,9 ‰ in 2010-2012), mainly due to the proper organization of care for newborns in the first week of life, and the maximum concentration of women with high-risk pregnant women in institutions of level 3 . Reserve for the further reduction of neonatal mortality is to minimize the loss of premature infants from preventable causes.
