The article presents the domestic and foreign literature, showing significantly higher prevalence of dental diseases among children. The expediency of conducting an epidemiological survey to obtain reliable information on the prevalence of dental diseases. The problems of dental fluorosis in areas with a high content of fluoride in drinking water. The results of an epidemiological survey of children of different age groups of the population of the Republic of Mordovia, living in regions with different content of fluoride in drinking water. The analysis of the incidence of fluorosis in the form of numbers and graphs and draw appropriate conclusions about the need for further study of the problem and find ways to address it in the practice of dentistry.
