CLINICAL AND EPIDEMIOLOGICAL FEATURESOF HIVINFECTION IN CHILDRENAND ADOLESCENTSSTAVROPOL REGION

The paper presents the results of clinical and epidemiological survey 36 HIV-infected children and adolescents aged 1 to 18 years who are registered Territorial Centre for the Prevention and Control of AIDS in Stavropol in the period 2007–2013. Feature of HIV infection in the Stavropol region is a significant proportion of acquired forms (44.4 %). Characterized by a variety of routes of infection of children. Gender indicators differ predominance of boys with congenital form of HIV infection, the prevalence of girls – at the acquired form. Implementation of perinatal infection is 5.6 %. Family centers of HIV infection are formed in 25 % of cases. In the congenital form of HIV infection at the time of diagnosis observed more advanced stage than in the acquired form. Rate of progression of HIV infection in children with congenital and acquired form in the first 5 years of the same. HIV infection is characterized by a high frequency of comorbidity (22.5 %), mainly chronic hepatitis co-infection (13.9 %).
