Studied indicators of inflammation and fibrosis in patients with ischemic heart disease and atrial fibrillation , depending on the severity of atherosclerotic lesions of the coronary arteries . The level of performance is dependent on the degree of fibrosis of coronary artery stenosis. With the progression of the atherosclerotic process indicators fibrosis matrix metalloproteinase -9 ( MMP -9), the ratio of MMP -9 / tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase -1 ( TIMP -1 ) and C -terminal propeptide of procollagen type 1 (PICP) increase, particularly if the coronary heart disease is associated with fibrillation fibrillation. The same pattern is found when comparing these indicators depending on the number of affected arteries - the levels of MMP- 9 and MMP-9/TIMP-1 ratio RICP increase with multifocal coronary artery disease mainly in combination with atrial fibrillation.
