In the treasury of human knowledge apart from modern scientific medicine, still preserved and traditional medicine (NM), which in recent years have attracted increasing attention of both physicians and patients. Experts believe that in medical systems which have reached us from antiquity, lurks a lot of valuable and rational, and hope it is in this knowledge pantry find means and methods of treatment of those ailments that have not succumbed to “onslaught” of chemotherapy in recent decades. Patients also rely on traditional medicine, as it is for centuries has demonstrated its effectiveness in areas such as disease prevention, treatment of communicable and non-communicable diseases, chronic indolent disease, as well as mental health and gerantologiya. Traditional medicine includes practical experience on ways and means of diagnosis and treatment, accumulated over the centuries in different countries and passed on from generation to generation. The World Health Organization (WHO) defines traditional medicine as including various health-related approaches, knowledge andbeliefs, as well as medications of plant, animal and/or mineral in nature origin Spiritualist therapy, manual therapy and exercises used by alone or in combination, to maintain the well-being as well as the treatment, diagnosis and prevention of diseases. Traditional medicine and also taken to determine the other terms - traditional, alternative, natural, unorthodox or complementary medicine (NM/TKAM). Folk medicine that exists in oral tradition and tied to a specific geographical region, usually passed on from teacher to student. Traditional medicine is preserved and develops written monuments, with formulated concepts different from the theories of modern scientific medicine. The term «traditional medicine» – a comprehensive term that refers to systems of medicine such as, for example, traditional Chinese medicine.
