SPECIAL FEATURES OF ENDOMETRIUM IN WOMEN WITH AN EARLY MISCARRIAGE HISTORY AND WITH UNDIFFERENTIATED CONNECTIVE TISSUE DYSPLASIA

The article studies histological features of endometrium in women with a miscarriage history, suffering undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia (UCTD). The patient groups were formed of women with miscarriage history and UCTD. Women with chromosomal abnormalities, antiphospholipid syndrome, female genital abnormalities and male factor were excluded from the study. The diagnosis of UCTD was verified by using the method of Milkovskaya- Dimitrova and Karkashev. The study shows that women suffering UCTD manifest severe discrepancy between the structural changes of endometrium and the menstrual cycle, distorted formation of vascular component, changed expression of MMP-9 and TIMP-I, and reduced building of type IV collagen (Coll-IV). These abnormalities amount to the morphological substrate of endometrial deficiency accompanied by functional disorders. They arrest normal implantation and embryo development, which results in early miscarriage.
