The paper presents the analysis of constitutional features of the clinical course of acute appendicitis in 220 women who have reached their adulthood (21 to 35 years old). We defined the body type according to V.N. Shevkunenko and determined the somatic types according to the method of W.L. Rees – H. Eysenck in all patients with acute appendicitis. Destructive forms of acute appendicitis were found in 68.2 % of patients. Secondary endoappendicitis was revealed in cases with acute gynecological pathologies. In the majority of cases the acute gynecological pathology was right-sided. In 80.4 % of cases there was a local peritonitis, localized within one anatomic area. Patients with acute appendicitis had such complications from operative wounds as seromas. Acute appendicitis hardly ever happens in women with asthenic and dolichomorphic body types. Acute appendicitis occurs in women with mesomorphic and normosthenic body types.
